AI isn't going to replace developers but merely elevate them to create even better content on a greater scale. Imagine worlds on the scale of Ready Player One, so vast, so grand that Ready Player One could be one of 1000's of incredibly immersive games that we could create.
The solution to revitalising this beautiful industry is by thinking BIGGER, BOLDER. The beauty of this universe is that there is INFINITE potential of what can and will be in the type of content that can be created. AI will never reach that infinity point.
AI requires inspiration, made by REAL humans who have LIVED and have something to share with the world. That cannot be replicated. We are humans, we can feel, we can touch, we can see, we can hear, AI will never understand what it truly means to be a human and that is its biggest flaw. Not human, trying to create content for humans. Therefore, AI will always require the inspiration of humans.
So for anyone feeling scared about this new era of gaming we are entering into just remember, technology is a TOOL that reshapes landscapes, but it is IMAGINATION that charts the path for the future.
