Koto’s branding for the Marblex Web3 gaming platform flips the usual tech narrative.
Instead of leaning into blockchain complexity, the identity centres on play and storytelling through a goblin mascot.
Goblins are such a familiar fantasy gaming archetype, so it instantly taps into that cultural shorthand and lets the system feel messy, mischievous and character-led rather than sterile tech branding.
In a way the strategy is stronger than the aesthetics. Some people will love the goblin, others might find it a bit gimmicky, but that tension is what makes it interesting.
It feels more like world-building than traditional logo design.
