DMCG Global is looking for a Communications Director that operates as the trusted advisor to clients, running internal teams successfully to ensure delivery of a first-class service at all times. The Director also plays a key role in the identification and development of new business targets, nurturing of internal talent and is an ambassador for the client's values.
Accountabilities
Develop and manage client relationships at all levels including CEO and Chairman, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor to your clients through the delivery of consistently top-quality advice
Oversee the day to day management of accounts (and manage for very large accounts), and identify opportunities for additional project work, ensuring a seamless client experience at all times
Manage media relations on behalf of your clients to ensure proactive and consistent messaging as required to effectively manage risk
Build and maintain comprehensive networks within the media, IR, Analyst and other business communities to ensure that you are up to date with new developments and current thinking
Proactively contribute to the development of new business from identification of targets through to delivering new business pitches to secure the deal
Manage client teams, ensuring the correct resourcing of your accounts and to maintain the optimum profitability of your accounts
Nurture more junior members of the team to support their continued professional growth and to drive robust succession within the firm
Contribute to a positive organizational culture consistent with the client's values to drive high levels of colleague retention and engagement
Key Criteria
More than 10 years of public relations and corporate communications experience in both agency and in-house settings
Proven track record in business development (role will consist of 60% account servicing and 40% new business development)
Strong team management and people development skills
Strong network of media contacts, locally and regionally
Experience with digital marketing will be preferred
A good command of written and spoken Chinese is a plus
