We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join our Cloud Engineering team to enhance our capabilities across the organisation. Successful candidates will join a multi-disciplined team spread across two geographical regions (Ireland and the US).
The role would ideally suit a DevOps enthusiast who is comfortable operating in highly collaborative fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude. Culture is critically important to the team, team members are expected to contribute positively via knowledge sharing, mentorship and peer reviewing each other’s work. On-going development of skills and knowledge is highly encouraged.

Activities:
- Building the core services that enable Datalex engineering teams working efficiently
- Infrastructure Automation using Terraform and Packer
- Migrating on premise workloads to AWS
- Working with product owners and architects to design and build systems that enable the Datalex software to run on AWS
- Working within the platform certification team to build the pipelines and infrastructure that are needed to run the processes required to certify our core software
- Working closely with development teams with issues and new requests for resources
Desired and required:
- 2+ years of experience
- We are a Linux shop, a high level of comfort working with Linux systems for administration purposes is a must
- A good working knowledge of SSL/TLS, TCP, HTTP and DNS
- Infrastructure automation using Packer and Terraform
- AWS experience is a must with on-going training and support is provided/encouraged
- Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes is also a bonus given the teams current technical direction
- Strong scripting skills via Python and BASH is a must
- Experience working with configuration management solutions preferability such as SaltStack, Ansible
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science
- Good working knowledge of setup and administration of MongoDB and relational databases such as Postgres and Oracle
- Experience deploying applications to heterogeneous environments: to AWS, on-prem and at times supporting the end user
