As Account Director, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of activities for your clients and team. Responsible for setting strategy, assigning, or completing the delivery of work, delegating work to relevant team members, mentoring your team, growing account, active with new business prospects and pitching. The role is varied and rewarding.
  
You will thrive on putting people first be it your clients or colleagues, you will enjoy providing counsel to clients, building and delivering campaigns from conception and strategy through to completion – reviewing and reporting. Confident in your abilities to grow existing accounts as well as bring in new business from lead generation.
  
The responsibilities of the AD will be broken down into 6 main areas.

  • Client Management – being the go-to person for your clients, setting budgets and strategy, developing the SLA for the client, etc.
  • Account Team Leadership – fully accountable for the account, financials and delegating resources, and the quality of work produced.
  • Revenue Generation – identifying all organic growth possibilities, identifying and securing new business, developing and supporting pitches.
  • Financial Management – build budgets and scopes of work, allocate client hours to the team.
  • People Management – Lead, coach, and mentor team members, develop their careers, provide feedback and training sessions, etc.
  • Research & Knowledge Development – Aware of trends and developments, consumer daily and weekly news, committed to continuous professional development and attending PR industry and tech-related events.  
Person Spec.
  • 5 years + experience in PR, Tech, and agency-related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technology PR sector - fintech, enterprise tech or a confident b2b tech generalist.
  • Exceptional client management skills.
  • Proven people management skills.
  • Proven experience in pitch management and new business generation.
  • Detailed understanding of the PESO principles
  • Able to advise on SEO, social media, and digital marketing.
