Project Director

DMCG Global has been retained to identify a new Project Director with an architecture background for a large retail chain who will be responsible for shopping malls globally across multiple high profile luxury brands.
 
Job Description

• Lead your own team of seasoned Project Managers to coordinate multiple projects to a high quality, innovative design, on time and on budget

• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders from idea to execution of project with the support of your team of project, design and finance teams.

• Understanding of local gvt and companies rules/regulations to ensure all potential issues are flagged properly and resolved timely.

• Be final responsible for all tendering, contract administration, and cost control during the design, tendering and construction process.

• Help implement the process and new SOP inside and outside the Store Dev Dept.

• Ensure all brand coordination for Vendor Package preparation and presentation is complete, through Design and Merchants

• Build and maintain strong relationship with landlords and or local contacts

Key Requirements

• College Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred

• Minimum 10 years’ experience within the field of Architecture or Project Management

• Proficiency with computer programs (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, AutoCAD, Project)

• Must be an accomplished leader and have experience leading PM teams, building rapport and managing relationships with C-level internal stakeholders, delivering projects remotely (at least for until global travel opens back up), and some experience of managing projects in mainland China.

• Good Design and Construction sense and ability to read complex and detailed architectural and services drawings

• Architectural or Project Management experience preferred, Engineering experience acceptable

• Solid understanding of ability to deal with various Building Codes

• Excellent Organizational Skills

• Strong Oral & written communication skills English (Mandarin is preferred)

• Ability to excel in conflict management and excel in dealing with complex and varied stakeholder matrix.

• Good analytical skills: able to accurately compile statistical data and to detect inconsistencies in presented data

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

• Self-starter; able to adapt to changing priorities and work on multiple projects

• High energy level and positive outlook on job and group responsibilities
