Brand Design Lead
Global SaaS scale up
Remote within UK / Europe

About the company
This is a fast growing, VC backed SaaS business that sits in the middle of a big shift in how global teams work together.
Their platform helps companies work with talent across multiple countries without all the usual friction. They are a few hundred people globally, scaling quickly, backed by serious investors, and already working with a mix of well known tech, finance and media brands.
You will not be the first designer through the door. They have a proper Brand & Creative Studio in place and are now looking to level it up.

The team
You would join an in-house studio that behaves more like a small agency than a corporate "design service".
The studio covers:
  • Brand and campaigns
  • Web and growth design
  • Video and motion
  • Design production at scale
It is led by a Senior Director of Creative and Brand with an agency background and strong product experience. Brand work is tied directly to growth and pipeline, not treated as "make it pretty at the end".
The role
They are looking for a Brand Design Lead to raise the bar on visual identity and storytelling across campaigns, social, digital experiences, video and events.
This is a senior individual contributor role, reporting into the Head of Creative and Brand. You will combine brand thinking, systems and hands on craft, and help shape how the studio works as it grows.
Day to day, this is closer to a Lead Designer / ACD in a good brand agency than "senior marketing designer".

What you will be doing
  • Leading concept and design for key brand campaigns, product launches and marketing moments
  • Owning and evolving brand design systems and guidelines so they scale across regions and channels
  • Lifting the quality of design across social, paid, web, video and experiential so everything feels like the same brand, at the same level
  • Concepting and storyboarding for motion and video, working closely with the video team
  • Partnering with marketing, growth, product and content to make sure creative both performs and feels right for the brand
  • Working with external agencies and production partners when it makes sense, while owning the creative direction internally
  • Mentoring other designers in the studio and helping to set standards for craft and process
Who this might suit
This could be a fit if you recognise yourself in one of these:
  • You are currently a Senior / Lead Brand Designer at a well regarded agency or studio and want to take ownership of one brand for a while, to see the long term impact of your work.
  • You are in-house at a product or SaaS scale up, acting as the go to person for brand, campaigns and launches, and you miss being in a more creatively led environment.
What you will bring
  • Around 6+ years in brand design, with a portfolio that shows:
    • Strong systems and identity work
    • Campaigns that live across multiple channels
    • Digital and web work, not just static guidelines
  • Comfort working in Figma as your main environment, with Adobe Suite in support
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems / guidelines that other teams use
  • Evidence of working with motion / video, at least at the concept and storyboard level
  • Curiosity about using AI tools in ideation or production, even if you do not live in them yet
  • Clear communication and the ability to talk to stakeholders about ideas, trade offs and impact
  • A mix of ambition and pragmatism: you care about craft, but you also care whether it actually works
Nice to have
  • Experience designing booths, installations or event activations for conferences or experiential campaigns
  • A mix of agency and in-house experience
Location and set up
  • Remote first. For collaboration and time zone reasons, they have a strong preference for candidates based in the UK or wider Europe.
  • You will work with a distributed team across several regions, with plenty of async collaboration and some live sessions.
