We are looking for an experience DACH Country Manager to play a pivotal role in building their business in Germany. As a founding member of our Germany team, you will play a key role in setting the region’s strategy and helping to build the right team to execute on it. We’re looking for someone entrepreneurial with deep market knowledge and excellent working relationships in Germany to help us achieve our mission of making people’s lives healthier - everywhere. 

This is a senior and cross-functional leadership role with a challenging but rewarding combination of business development, product strategy, strategic thinking and marketing. The Country Manager is expected to tailor the client’s product features to the German market and to oversee the development and execution of the regional strategy and work with key stakeholders across marketing, product features and engineering. Setting the right goals, building out a strong team, making the right trade-offs, and effectively allocating resources across the business will be critical to achieve success.
  
What You'll Do
  • Develop and own the client’s DE product and service offering in partnership with International and the Germany team
    • Create a prioritized list of product feature roll-outs, development and initiatives for DE users 
    • Ultimately own the local product experience across product features and making sure the DE experience keeps up with the growth of the product. 
    • In conjunction with International and HQ, identify and craft local service features such as local methods, monitoring the quality of customer service, analysing research and drive DE Marketing with the Director of DE Marketing 
    • Ensure we comply with local legislation and regulatory requirements across Germany
  • Develop the Germany strategy and translate into operating plans
    • Conduct in-market research to understand consumers and competitor set 
    • Develop an initial strategy and positioning in market 
    • Create a prioritized list of initiatives which tie back to clear impacts on top and bottom line for the country
  • Stand up a voice of the market feedback loop with HQ teams
    • Translate these initiatives into requirements for cross-functional partners and help prioritize

  • Build and lead the local operations
    • Hire local roles to enable partnerships and activations which can drive organic growth for the business
    • Build and manage local coaching operations in partnership with the DE coaching lead 
    • Be the in-market face of the client, handling PR in conjunction with Comms and Legal teams/agencies
    
What We Look For
  • Min. 6Y of experience - ideally you have prior start-up experience and/ or experience working for a global company. Consumer business experience is preferred. 
  • Min 2Y in a Country or Regional Country Manager role or equivalent Strategic/ Ops role with a focus on Germany 
  • Fluent in German and English (our business language) 
  • Data affinity preferred - especially Looker & SQL skills and prior A/B testing or product experimentation experience is a +
  • You have a proven track record of successfully scaling up and running metrics-driven operations including building out teams 
  • You love data and metrics-based experimentation, measurement, and analysis 
  • You collaborate effectively, build trust, and drive results with many varied stakeholders across coaching, product, and international teams
