Localization Manager

DMCG Global has been retained by a world-class media giant to identify a new Localization Manager for their Singapore office.
 
Our client is a leading media and entertainment company that creates and distributes premium and popular content to global audiences through its consumer brands. They are approximately 600 strong in Singapore alone.
 
This Localization Manager is responsible for the localization and cultural adaption of our clients content, providing their audience with an experience that feels local across APAC. This role will manage the localisation of Kids content on SEA channels, especially for Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, Cantonese and other Asian language dubbing, in accordance with company goals, brand quality and creative standards, and local broadcast regulations.
 
The responsibilities that this role holds is to define APAC localization strategy, drive language and show launches & their prioritization and appropriate tactics. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the best creative and linguistic approach for priority content. This role also requires coordination with the localization team in APAC who are responsible for the quality, authenticity and cultural adaption of Kids content experience across APAC languages.
 
The ideal Localization Manager will have a degree in languages, TV/media or communications being preferred, and you will have around 5+ years of creative localization experience in dubbing industry.
 
Full professional fluency in English, and fluency in at least one core Asian languages e.g. Bahasa Malaysian is required.
 
Due to C-19, this hire must be based in Singapore, and due to Visa restrictions you must be either Singaporean, or on a DP or a PR.
