Our client is a growing e-commerce group with established footprint in Australia, New Zealand and United States. With a developed portfolio of products in beauty, consumer electronics, maternity and pets, we are currently looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive a holistic product strategy across all verticals.
   
 A bit more about the role:
- Lead and drive the businesses Growth by Product strategy, bringing data driven Category, Sub-Category and Product Expansion recommendations 
- Take full ownership of the Product P&L (Open to Buy, Inventory Cover, Sales Mix Analysis). 
- Create and run a Weekly Trade meeting to present product insights across the business 
- Partner closely with the Finance Manager to establish product department budgets and achieve various financial targets. 
- Take ownership of Inventory Cover to achieve sales forecasts 
- Create and present a buy plan and maintain together with our Purchasing & Inventory Controller 
- Increase margin through pricing and promotional program decisions based on category awareness and performance (with the Finance and Marketing teams) 
- Visual merchandising suggestions to Brand Leads 
- Maintain strong relationships with the key stakeholders to ensure a united approach towards common product objectives 
- Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving processes and frameworks for commercial decisions relating to product, sales and margins 
  
 Preferred experience and qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience leading a team within eCommerce, retail or direct to consumer market. 
- Experience dealing with product supply from East, South and/or Southeast Asia. 
- Advanced people management skills are essential for this role 
- Strong planning, project management and organizational skills. 
- Be a cross-functional leader who coordinates the necessary to bring a product from conception to the market. 
- Language skills: fluency in Mandarin would be advantageous
