Web Developer

DMCG Global is looking for Singapore based Frontend Web Developer that is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects and manage a team of junior developers. 
 
Responsibilities

• To lead the development of front-end projects according to the approved specification and pre-determined standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WCAG, etc.), taking ownership of delivery and success of web development projects;

• To ensure your projects are completed according to the agreed budget and schedule, and to liaise with internal project leaders on any anticipated variations in the technical specification, schedule or cost;

• To ensure the quality of all team projects, ensuring that all risk management process is implemented, appropriate software engineering principals are applied during the development of software and ensuring that software performs according to the agreed specification;

• To drive process improvements within the web development methodology;

• To produce quality technical documentation;

• To develop and apply appropriate testing procedures to ensure that the software performs correctly. In particular to ensure that software meets any cross-browser requirements laid down in the Technical Specification;

• To learn the current technology stack and to train & mentor junior web developers; and

• To identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies that could be beneficial to the business and to continuously monitor development standards, release processes and support procedures.

Skills
3+ years experience of the following is required (expert knowledge of):

• HTML5, CSS, and LESS/SCSS and standard Web APIs (e.g. the Document Object Model);

• JavaScript, AJAX, JavaScript UI component frameworks (e.g. jQuery UI)

• Implementation of responsive design / mobile front-end development; and

• Image manipulation through either Photoshop or The GIMP.

 
2+ years experience of the following is required:

• Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) front-end development;

• Website testing experience with cross-browser compatibility;

• Knowledge of accessibility best practises, including W3C WCAG 2.1;

• Web security vulnerabilities and best practises (e.g. validation, escaping, and encoding)

• Good understanding of different image types and when to use them (e.g.SVG, JPEG & PNG).

Your Reporting Relationships
The Web Developer will report directly to the Senior Web Developer and work closely with the wider Application Development team (which includes JEE Programmers, AEM Programmers, .Net Developer and QA Analyst) and the Digital Creative and Project Management teams.
